The Bethany Baptist Association of Southern New Jersey was founded to enrich the lives of church leaders. To assure leaders are equipped with necessary learnings for a contemporary world, the Bethany Baptist School of Biblical Studies (BBSBS) was developed under the guidance of the Permanent Council. 

Each course offered is biblically, doctrinally, and fundamentally sound.  TheBBSBS is led by a Board of Regents which consists of academically and vocationally trained Bethany Baptist Association Pastors who have dedicated themselves to furthering the spiritual education of church leaders and people in Southern New Jersey.

The goal of the Board of Regents is to become aligned with other institutions for full accreditation. In order to meet that objective, the courses offered through the BBSBS follow the academic guidelines of the Middle States Commission of Higher Learning.  Also, each instructor of thisprogram has earned, at least, amaster’s degree from an accredited college, university, or seminary.  Anyone can enroll in the BBSBS, however, to assure academic integrity, students must have earned at least a high school diploma. At the completion of the program, students will be awarded either a Certificate of Ordination Studies or a Certificate of Biblical Studies. The ordination certificate is sanctioned and recognized by the Permanent Council as an endorsement for the student’s readiness for ordination.
